PRISTINE BEACHES AND DRAMATIC WALL...

The crystal clear waters and beaches of the Turks & Caicos create one  of the most beautiful coastlines in the Caribbean, but it is the underwater scenery that draws divers to explore its surrounding depths. The largest and more developed of these islands is Providenciales, commonly called “Provo”.

Divers flock here to explore the reefs and dramatic walls of North West Point, West Caicos, Pine Cay and French Cay. A short charter flight to the islands of Grand Turk and Salt Cay offers pristine diving and a true out-island experience and well as a glimpse of what life was like in times past.

Diving

If you are looking for spectacular walls, without going through the world, only an hour and a half flight from Miami is located the Islands the Turks & Caicos. Steep walls, vertical and lush dominate here the diving scene. Most of the walls start from 20 feet, then fall into the abyss. The visibility off the coast of the Turks and Caicos Islands is more than 100 feet and can grow to more than 150 feet

Head to Grand Turk, Providenciales or West Caicos, and you'll find to excellent diving centres which will drive you on sites that will amaze you. The best dive sites are located Northwest of Providenciales, where you monitor your depth gauge on famous sites like The Dome, staircase, the forest of black coral and the in sharks hotel amongst others.

Topography begins with shallow coral gardens, which lead to walls covered with huge sponges barrel and orange elephant, tube sponges and ear in many places of black coral reefs, which have become a rarity in the Caribbean.

The West coast of West Caicos is a continuous wall, with beautiful dives are succeeding. We never get tired of the sensation of flying over a wall. Here, in addition to walls regorgeants of marine life, you will probably see spotted eagle rays in the full overview, visit sea turtles, taking a snack or as a nap.

Dive shops of Providenciales and West Caicos visit the spectacular diving off uninhabited French Cay. Coral mounds lead divers to the bottom of the walls slope thick with huge stand of hard and soft corals, covered with spadefish, grunts and snapper. And take the time to look in the coral, too, where the coral bands gather shrimps, crab arrow and feather stars.

On the East side of this island nation, Grand Turk continues with the theme of the famous walls and most of the dive sites is moments away from the docking station and falls under the protection of the Marine Park National Columbus. The wall here drops to more than 7,000 feet and sports prolific growth among the vertical marine landscape marked by the swim-throughs, overhangs, rock outcrops and arcs.

A few miles from Grand Turk, Salt Cay tiny is renowned not only for its spectacular wall, but for a famous wreck of the 17th century HMS Endymion, failed in only 25 feet of water. The guns are scattered and unique interesting artifacts remain visible. The island is also one of the best destinations in the Caribbean to meet stingray along the beach, perfect for taking photos in the water or from the surface.
