What to Expect

Waters most frequently visited by divers are those bordering the Egypt, the Israel and the Jordan. There are two types of dive trips, meet everyone's expectations.
The first, for those who are new, or those who do not have sea legs, including stay with hotel accommodation, and outputs of daily diving.
The second is the diving cruise, best known under the name of live-aboard, for those wishing to maximize the number of dives during their stay.

There are many Shoal in the Red Sea, renowned for the exuberance of the underwater life which houses to, whether by the diversity of species, the variety of fish or the magnificent coral reefs. The temperature there is therefore relatively high and helps the corals to grow lush way. It has over 1000 species of invertebrates, 200 species of coral and at least 300 species of sharks.


Cruises began many years ago in Sharm-El-Sheikh, on the Sinai Peninsula, where it was possible to travel to Djibouti and Ethiopia.
Today the towns of Cruises starting from where it is possible to embark, have mushroomed, the main are Hurghada, Safaga, Marsa-Alam and Hamata, reducing the time of navigation for maximizing dive time.

Location :

Marsa Alam, located by the Red Sea in the southern part of the Egypt, was an unknown region there are only a few years, took a rapid expansion with the opening of its international airport.

It can be reached by plane from Cairo in flight direct, or by road in only 3 hours from Hurghada, located 240 km to the North.
Along the way you will pass through the city of Safaga and El Quseir, and will remain you as 67 km to get to your hotel, the Iberotel Lamaya.
A shuttle bus makes the journey once a day between your hotel and El Quseir for those who would be interested in the visit (for a fee).

 

Diving in Marsa Alam - Hotel stay

The diving center located in walking distance of your hotel, is a PADI/SSI and BSAC, training centre ranging from basic (Beginner) to Dive Master. A team of instructors and multilingual dives guides invites you to discover the most beautiful reefs of the coastline which preserved sites represent a particular interest in marine biology.
It is one of the few centres with its own boats anchored at Port Ghalib covering thirty dive sites.
Transport to reach the boats is include and only takes 10 minutes.
It is important to realize that we are located to the South of Egypt and you can find diving sites of of great wealth, perfectly preserved.

This is the ideal formula for divers wishing to an all-inclusive with activities and animation hotels, includes 1 output 2 dives by boat in the morning, and opportunity to dive from the edge to the back...Very good value for money while maintaining the provision of comfort!

 

Diving  organization :

The dives trip  are organised the morning with 2 dives and a return to the hotel before 2 pm, allowing you to enjoy lunch at the hotel and activities the afternoon, or a third dive on the reef located near the hotel.


Accomodation :

Situated in beautiful Coraya Bay, the Iberotel Lamaya with its own reef offers wonderful diving and snorkelling possibilities. It can all be accessed by a pier at the hotel.

Surrounded by scenic highlights like the mountains and sea, the hotel complex spreads out into an idyllic atmosphere.
